Welcome to the CGMA CIMA Finance Leadership Program (FLP).
The CIMA Finance Leadership Program is a new, better, cheaper & technologically advanced alternative route to becoming CIMA qualified in addition to CIMA’s Professional Qualification (Traditional Exam Route).
The CIMA FLP is an all-online learning platform developed by CIMA & Kaplan Publishing that combines text, videos and competency assessments to take you through the entire CIMA syllabus, once section at a time, instead of sitting for a full-on Objective Test Exam. Qualification via the FLP route will be equivalent in status to the traditional exam route (PQ), but it offers an entirely different approach to learning and competency assessment, allowing you to study and undertake the equivalent of the OT (Objective Test) assessments when you want. You can complete your entire CIMA qualification with just 3 examinations and 13 competency assessments. The competency assessments are not examinations, but an intellectual way of assessing whether the student has gained the necessary competencies to be called a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
There are no Objective Test (OT) exams to sit on the FLP route. Instead, you will be assessed by how well you answer sets of questions embedded into the learning materials as you work through the course. The system automatically marks the questions, which provides automated generic feedback instantly.
If you go via the CGMA CIMA Finance Leadership Program (FLP) route, you will:
- Learn the same syllabus material as the CIMA syllabus is the same for both routes
- Sit the same 3 CIMA case study exams (Operational, Management & Strategic) as those on the CIMA PQ (Traditional Exam Route)
- Fulfil the same 3 years practical experience requirements (PER) for membership
- Earn the same certificates, status and designatory letters; FCMA/ACMA and CGMA
CGMA CIMA FINANCE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (FLP) SKILLS PLUS
· You’ll learn the content of the CIMA CGMA Finance Leadership Program Syllabus remotely, online, using a system designed and delivered by CIMA & Kaplan, the Skills Plus.
· Skills Plus includes access to the online learning system that covers the OT equivalent learning, case study notes and entry to the case study exams, including 1 non-transferrable resit opportunity for each level.
· Skills Plus also provides learning materials, questions, and video lectures on some subjects, and the package covers the case study exam fees.

- CFO Executive pathway (10 years and more Strategic/ Executive financial/ business experience)
- CA Pathway – (Must be a qualified CA (SA))
- ICAN Pathway – (Must be a qualified ICAN)
- ACFE Pathway – (Must be a qualified ACFE)
- SAIBA Member – (Special MOA between CIMA & SAIBA)
- C-Sep Pathway – (7 years and more seniors management experience)
